YGG Play, the publishing division of Yield Guild Games (YGG), has announced its first third-party publishing agreement with blockchain-based role-playing game (RPG) Gigaverse.

Through the partnership, YGG Play will support Gigaverse with growth marketing, community engagement, and player acquisition by leveraging its extensive gaming network.

Dith also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that it’s uncommon to find a publisher that truly understands gaming culture, possesses wide market knowledge, appreciates local context, and can move quickly. He added that the team is excited about the opportunities the collaboration will bring.
According to the media release, the agreement also introduces a smart contract-based revenue-sharing model, aimed at improving transparency between developer and publisher. YGG Play noted that unlike traditional publishing deals where revenue details are often opaque, its onchain infrastructure enables real-time, verifiable revenue splits, fostering a more equitable partnership.

Gigaverse, built by crypto-native studio GLHF, is a nostalgia-driven onchain RPG available on Abstract, designed to be easily accessible. The media release noted that within just three months of launch, the game has already shown impressive traction, generating over US$6 million in annualized revenue, achieved without external funding, marketing spend, or influencer campaigns.
GigaLand
As part of the collaboration, YGG Play and Gigaverse have rolled out a cross-game activation featuring Gigaland, a Gigaverse-branded board within YGG Play’s flagship game LOL Land, and limited-edition LOL Land skins available in Gigaverse.
Both titles are currently live on the Abstract Chain, a consumer-focused blockchain platform.
Moreover, the partnership will be supported by a creator-led campaign featuring prominent streamers including Elisa, YellowPanther, Iceyyy, Raiden, and Storming, who will simultaneously stream LOL Land and Gigaverse content to showcase the games to wider audiences.
Players can access LOL Land and Gigaverse through LOL.Land and Gigaverse.io, both live on the Abstract Chain.
YGG Play
Launched this year, YGG Play is the publishing division of Yield Guild Games (YGG). It is focused on delivering fun, accessible, and community-driven web3 games under a new genre it calls “Casual Degen.”
Following the end of the long-running Guild Advancement Program (GAP), Dizon shared that YGG will focus on YGG Play. They noted that the shift is a move toward a more scalable and evolved model for supporting web3 games and engaging its community.
Unlike traditional seasonal questing formats, YGG Play will introduce a more flexible, skills-based questing and rewards system, with greater emphasis on guild-based campaigns, competitive play, and recognition of active contributors.
The initiative aims to empower both developers and the YGG community by connecting games to a wide player network and offering tools for sustainable growth. According to co-founder Gabby Dizon, YGG Play is central to the guild’s vision of becoming a leading force in web3 game publishing by 2030.
